The laundry room is often a small but high-traffic area of the home, and it can quickly become cluttered with detergents, baskets, and laundry piles. A well-organized laundry room can make the task of doing laundry more efficient and enjoyable. 1. Maximize Vertical Space

  • Install Wall Shelves: Use wall-mounted shelves above the washer and dryer to store laundry detergents, fabric softeners, and other supplies. Shelves help keep these items off the floor and within easy reach.
  • Add Hanging Bars: Install a hanging bar or rod for air-drying clothes. This is especially useful for delicate items that need to be hung to dry rather than using the dryer.

  • Label the Bins: Label each bin for specific categories like “whites,” “darks,” and “delicates” to ensure clothes are pre-sorted and ready to go when it’s time to wash.
  • Portable Hampers: Consider using portable, lightweight hampers with handles or wheels for easy transport to and from bedrooms or other areas of the house.

7. Set Up a Drying Station
